two thousand seventeen
January 1, 2017
I set a bunch of new resolutions last year - money and travel and fitness - the normal ones, and, as a whole, 2016 was good to me. I went to at least 7 different states, visited 5 national parks, flew 6 different times, and got a new pet (Percy the turtle is the best, most sassiest turtle in the world). Of course there were rough spots, and I lost some people that were dear to my heart, but I consider myself a pretty lucky person and I think 2016 reflects that.
I'm not really setting a resolution for 2017, I like my life and the way it's going and really my goal for the year is to be aware - of the people I love and the places I get to go and the way I'm treating myself (also, I want to read 75 books, but I think that's a given).
Someone once told me (and by that I mean: I read on twitter the other day) "What you do on New Years Day is what you'll do the whole year." So today, Logan and I got brunch, saw a movie, and then went for a walk at Cherry Creek State Park. If the majority of 2017 looks like that, I think I'll be satisfied.
While crossing the bridge we found a baby beaver hanging out!
